Greetings!
Happy Father’s Day. I am truly blessed to have my Father
still with me and for that I give thanks. We may not always see eye to eye or
agree on everything but he is mine and I am his and this man provided, gave
hugs, made super cool robot costumes for Halloween, he walked me down the aisle
on my wedding day. I know you won’t see this-but Happy Father’s Day! I love you
Daddy!
I want to take a minute to talk about my son’s Father. John
died when Michael was a 5 year old. Not enough time, you had so much to do
together. You had so much to teach him. He never got to go camping with you,
never got to go to a rock concert with you. You didn’t get to teach him how to
cook on the grill or drive a car. He should have had your first beer with you.
You never got to see him in a parade or do his martial arts. He has crazy mad
computer skills-no clue how that happened. I wish he could have gone out on the
boat with you. I wish for many things. He does not necessarily understand or know
truly the man you were. He missed so much with you not being here. You are our
angel. Let your Native American spirit be free and flying in the form you were
meant to be-the majestic bald eagle. Happy Father’s Day. He turns 18 this year
and I wish you were here! Every day I wish you were here for him. I wish you
were here for some other special people too. I can only imagine how proud and
amazed you are by your Jennifer. I look at pictures of her happy family, her
beautiful girls and let’s face it, you would be wrapped around four little
fingers! Every time I see her I wish you were here for her-I feel as if Uncle
John would be doing a lot of babysitting! Uncle John could handle four.
Again-Happy Father’s Day-We Love You!
Before John passed he asked an amazing man to “take care of us” when
the time came. Make sure we were all right-and he has. He has kept his word of
honor as a man to a dying man…Adam- Happy Father’s Day and Thank You! You have
been here every minute and every step and it isn’t perfect and it isn’t easy
but you have done your best. You stepped in and taught Michael about guy stuff
I had no clue about. You taught him how to bleed brakes, and he knows he can
count on you. You never left. So to the most underrated unappreciated fella I
know-Thank You! Kid of mine-here is your other example of a truly altruistic person. Altruistic is
showing a disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others;
unselfish. Altruism is compassion and being self-less. Thank you for help in raising my
child. I don’t know where we would be without you.
Take some time today to reflect upon those special men in your
life-starting with Dad. We only get to do this once-try not to end up with
regrets and remorse. Try not to be petty or trifling. Live each day like it is
your last. Love each day like it is your last.
I also need to send some love to my Grandpa Stefl (I know you are waiting
for me in heaven). My Uncle Eddie-you’re here and I miss you. Perhaps we can
work on that. Mr. Sobye-love you always and unconditionally. My last shout out
is to Russ. You were married to my Aunt once upon a time and you have always
held a special place in my heart. As you said we have always had a special
bond. In my heart you will always be my Uncle. Happy Father’s Day!
I love you forever Daddy! I like you for always!
Happy Father’s Day!
Love and Light
